How to Repair Cracked Vinyl Windows

- Separate the vinyl sash from the window. Each sash will have tabs that you bend in your direction to free it from the frame. Typically, there will be a top and bottom sash. Use the screwdriver to lift part of the sash away from the window so you can pull it away.

- Fix the stops and replace the window. Place the setting blocks around the outer edges of the glass to ensure the sash aligns properly. You can place additional setting blocks along all sides to help with the alignment. Snap the stops back into place over the window and inside the window frame.
- With the window frame back in place, sand any rough areas and paint the frame to match the exterior walls.
